Add 3 actions
Open the Shortcuts app → tap +. Then tap "Add Action" and add these one by one (search for each):
Run JavaScript on Web Page — tap the blue JavaScript text, delete everything, long-press → Paste the code from step 1.
Get Contents of URL — just add it, don't change anything. It automatically uses the URL from the JavaScript above it.
Save to Photos — search for Save and tap "Save to Photos" (on older iOS: "Save to Photo Album"). Just add it — it automatically saves whatever was downloaded above.
The 3 actions should be stacked in this exact order. Each one automatically passes its result to the next.

Enable Share Sheet
Tap the title at the top and name it Download IG Video
Tap the i button at the bottom
Turn on Show in Share Sheet
Tap Receive — you'll see a long list of types (app, article, boolean, contact, date, etc.)
Scroll down to find "Safari web page" and tap it
Tap Done
✅ To use it: When viewing a reel on instagram.com in Safari (not the Instagram app), tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari → scroll down → tap Download IG Video. The video saves to your Photos automatically!
💡 You must be logged into instagram.com in Safari (not just the Instagram app — they're separate).
⚠️ Troubleshooting "Conversion error: URL to Safari web page"
This means iOS is passing a URL link instead of the full web page. Fix it:
1. Open your shortcut → tap ⓘ → tap Receive
2. Make sure ONLY "Safari web page" is checked — uncheck "URL" if it's checked
3. When using it: open the reel inside Safari, then tap the Share button at the bottom of the Safari screen (the box with the up arrow). Don't long-press a link — that gives a URL, not a page.
Shortcut not showing in Share Sheet?
Tap Share → scroll to the very bottom → tap "Edit" or "More" → find "Download IG Video" → toggle it ON → tap Done.
